Acclaim and Valadria have announced that their retro-inspired power washing sim Pixel Washer is in development for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.
You play as Pigxel, a pig who, armed with stylish goggles and a trusty power washer, must blast dirty sprites back to a pixel-perfect shine.
From grungy game rooms and mud-caked museums to crusty city streets and filthy food trucks, you will have multiple power washers at your disposal that each have a distinct spray pattern.
The hard-earned cash that you earn can be used to buy vehicles – from rugged work vans to tantalising taco trucks – to haul your gear across town, with eventual chance to purchase the Pig Mobile which is the ultimate road hog.
“There’s something beautifully backwards about sending a pig in to clean up everyone else’s mess,” explains Acclaim director of publishing and strategic partnerships, Marc Anthony Rodriguez. “Pigxel doesn’t just get dirty. He makes dirty his business. Pixel Washer takes that oddly satisfying feeling of blasting years of questionable grime off something and turns it into a colorful little obsession. We cannot wait for everyone to get their hooves dirty when Pixel Washer sprays its way onto the Switch, Switch 2, and Steam this fall.”
