Mac n Cheese Games has announced a new retro-paranormal cleaning simulator Dust till Dawn during PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. Unlike numerous powerwash simulators the game has an unusual twist, blending relaxing gameplay with horror elements. Developers describe the project like a game for players who enjoy beating games but don’t want to commit 100+ hours.

Dust till Dawn offers a 4–6 hour cleaning experience combined with a Junji Ito-style mystery. Players take a role of a maid restoring a quiet rural Japanese village. They should dust, mop, and squeegee to their heart’s content, enjoying the stylish retro vibe. However, staying there for too long is dangerous. As the night settles, unknown forces awaken.

• Restore Each Space: Players dust, mop, and squeegee with tools finely tuned for different tasks. They use hard-earned Yen to buy new tools that unlock different rooms and new locations, like the local school or market.
