Tomorrow Corporation has announced the launch of its retro-inspired adventure title, The Captain, now available on Android and iOS as a premium title. Developed by Sysiac Games, the indie game originally debuted on PC in 2021 and has now made its way to mobile, costing $6.99.
The Captain takes you on a galaxy-spanning adventure filled with tough choices
In The Captain, you play as Captain Thomas Welmu, a Spacefleet science officer stranded on the other side of the galaxy. With dangerous forces heading toward Earth and the only means of stopping them in your possession, getting home becomes your biggest priority. However, the journey is far from simple, as you must choose your routes, manage resources, upgrade your ship, and decide whether to help those you encounter along the way.
Your journey takes you to different worlds, where every decision can lead to unexpected consequences. You might interfere with a civilization that has yet to reach space, investigate a secret military operation, or help an alien species recover something precious. When trouble finds you, you can take on enemies in space battles using powerful weapons or try to avoid a fight altogether.
You’ll also have to deal with pirates, repair your damaged ship, and decide how much you are willing to spend on upgrades and survival. Beyond exploration and combat, The Captain puts plenty of weight on the relationships you build and the sacrifices you make. You can recruit allies, make enemies, uncover secrets, and even betray someone if it helps you get home sooner.
Overall, the game looks like an entertaining pick for fans of retro-inspired adventures, especially if yu enjoy stories where your decisions matter and there is no guarantee that everyone will make it out safely.
The Captain is now available on Android and iOS as a premium title. So, you can download it via the Google Play Store or App Store.
