Freshly Baked Games has announced that retro-fantasy action RPG Queen’s Domain has sold over 100,000 units worldwide in less than five days. The company has thanked fans for their support, especially for a two-person development team.
Players wash ashore on the Isle of Neasied and set out to find their missing father while investigating the forces gathering across the island and the awakening of its sleeping Queen.
Exploration takes place across an interconnected island containing hidden areas and environmental hazards. The Legendary Holy Sword Endu also doubles as a traversal tool, letting players fly across gaps and reach platforms. Upgrades can increase the distance the sword can carry the player.
Combat uses a stamina system, along with charge attacks, weapon-specific special attacks, and secondary throwing weapons. Players can find, equip, and upgrade more than 50 melee weapons, while over 20 types of throwing weapons add more combat options.
Character progression involves spending experience points to level up, while eating food can further increase stats. The island contains more than 100 enemies, mini-bosses, and bosses across the game’s various areas. A full playthrough takes approximately 30 to 40 hours. A demo is also live.
Queen’s Domain is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
